This easy idea to decorate Valentines cookies is a cheat but it looks like it took you hours to decorate! Watercolor painting the sugar cookies doesn't take an artistic hand.
We have sugar cookie and fondant recipes for your below, but even over the counter or purchased on Amazon, the look of these Valentines day cookies is sure to please.
To make the Valentine's cookies: Use the same heart shaped cookie cutter as you used on the cookies for the perfect size. Cut hearts out of marshmallow fondant. Place the fondant hearts over the cooled cookies and gently press fondant onto cookie.
To decorate: Use a food coloring gel paste for your "paint" and use gentle strokes to paint lightly around the cookie. After the cookie is nicely painted with the first layer, paint over the soft strokes for a "watercolor" appearance using various strokes to keep each cookie unique! Add a splash of gold edible paint or gold sugar beads for a little sparkle!
